The Wayne County Housing Coalition will be at Shreve Village Hall Jan 27 from 7pm to midnight.  If you or someone you know is homeless please stop in during those hours to help alert the WCHC of your needs. If you would like to obtain more information on this, please call 330-264-8498

Safe Routes to School Public Meeting

The Village of Shreve is in the process of developing a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program to encourage safe walking and biking to and from Shreve Elementary.  SRTS is a national and international movement to create safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for children to bicycle and walk to and from schools.  The program has been designed to reverse the decline in children walking and bicycling to schools.  The Ohio SRTS program is funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and is administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).


Village of Shreve is Accepting Bids and Resumes

The Village of Shreve will be accepting bids for a Water and Sewer Plant Operation Contract. Bid Specifications can be picked up at Shreve Village Hall or requested via email at Bids must be received at Village Hall no later than 10/24/2014 at noon when the bids will be opened. The bid will be awarded on October 27th, 2014 at 5:30pm at Shreve Village Hall. The Village has the right to reject any and all bids.please contact the Village Office at 330-567-2601 with any questions.


Fin Feather Fur Raffle

The Shreve American Legion is having a Fin Feather Fur Raffle.  Tickets can be purchased from any legion member or from the canteen.  Cost of the tickets are 1-$5; 3-$12; 5-$20.  First place will win $500 to any Fin Feather Fur store.  There will be other prizes the day of the drawing.  You need not be present to win the top prize.  The drawing will be Sat Sept 27 at 6PM.  Contact the Shreve American Legion with any other questions.

Operation Enduring Gratitude 2

The Shreve American Legion Post 67 is collecting items to be sent to our troops overseas for Memorial Day.  All donations need to be dropped off at the Legion by May 2, 2014.  Monetary donations are also appreciated to help with the cost of shipping.  If you would like to make any sort of donation please stop at the Legion or you can mail a check to:

Village Income Tax Credit

This is just a friendly reminder to everyone as they start filling out their tax forms.  This year the Village of Shreve is only crediting a half percent of what you paid to another town, instead of the one percent like it has been done in past years.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Village Hall at 330-567-2601. 

14th Annual Shreve Spring Migration Sensation

14th Annual Shreve Spring Migration Sensation to be held Saturday, March 29, 2014

This will be the 14th year for the Shreve Spring Migration Sensation which is sponsored by the ODNR Division of Wildlife, Friends of the Killbuck Marsh, Inc., The Wilderness Center, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists, Greater Mohican Audubon Society, Triway Local Schools, Shreve Library and Shreve Business & Community Association.
The event takes place at the Shreve Elementary School, 598 North Market St. (State Route 226), Shreve, Ohio 44676 and at the nearby Killbuck Marsh.

Ken Miller Supply Oil & Gas Museum

The County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes will have the Ken Miller Supply Oil, Gas, Car, Truck and Agriculture Museum open from 12:00 noon to 3 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
